ASN Support

Speaking over a video call can be a nerve-racking experience for anyone who is not used to it, but for learners with additional support needs, accessing the video call itself can become a barrier. 

In order to reduce the impact of this, and allow all students to progress equitably, I also offer "Online Study Support", with no video call requirement. 

In online study support, students can access the same full range of resources and support, but all communication can be done in written form through the "Google Classroom" platform. 

All Online Study Support will be conducted through Google Classroom. 

Google Classroom integrates Google Docs, Sheets and Slides into a cohesive platform to manage Tuition Sessions.

Your young person will be invited to join their own private class, where I can  create, distribute and mark work all within the Google ecosystem, matching the pace of their in-school learning. 

I can monitor the progress for your young person by reviewing revision history of a document, make comments on written work and set additional work or materials as appropriate. 

Your young person can also ask me questions through the Classroom stream at any time.

I take Online Safety very seriously and I actively encourage parents/guardians to take an active role in their young person's online work with me. 

The use of Google Classroom allows parents and guardians to receive weekly email updates of the work completed online and allows for complete transparency of online communication between myself and your young person. 

The use of G Suite software also ensures that your young person's data is handled appropriately and in full compliance with Governmental regulations.
